California Governor Gavin Newsome will exclude Tesla’s vehicles and solar panels from any EV tax credit in the state because of personal issues with Elon Musk. Gavin Newsome said if Trump removes the federal tax credit, then California will create their own version but will exclude anything Tesla because Elon Musk is a Trump supporter. This is very petty coming from someone who supposedly cares about the California people. Some people in California actually like Tesla’s products. It’s also the number one electric car in the state and it’s manufactured in California as well.
Gavin is still holding a grudge because Elon moved X’s headquarters out of state to Texas, for good reason. He also moved Space X there as well. If Trump decides to ever remove any federal tax credits, which he may not, but if he does, the only people who will be hurt by this decision are Californians because people actually want Tesla vehicles compared to other brands and the tax credits might help. One can only wonder if Gavin Newsome is discriminating against Tesla because of Elon Musk’s Trump affiliation.
