Crystal Magnum, the exotic dancer who accused three lacrosse players of rape back in 2006, has come forth and admitted she lied in a recent podcast. She is currently in a North Carolina prison for the 2013 second-degree murder of her boyfriend. She has stated that she has now found god and hopes the three Duke players can forgive her.
Thankfully, the three Duke Lacrosse players were found innocent a year later, in 2007, but their image was somewhat tarnished. The then-Attorney General, now current Governor Roy Cooper, said these men should have never been charged because of a lack of evidence. Many people lost their jobs because of her lie, including the coach of the Lacrosse team, and the 2006 season was canceled. The three players and Duke University have yet to comment on the admission.
