We all knew that Alex Jones was being sued by multiple people and outlets because of his outspokenness, but we didn’t think that it would get as far as having his own media company auctioned off. The Onion, which is a satirical news parody company, won the bidding. No word yet on what The Onion wants to do with Info Wars since The Onion isn’t a real news company. The bidding was backed by the victims families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting.
If you recall, the families sued Alex for over a billion dollars, which seems much, because of his views on the school shooting. Alex Jones, who is allowed to have free speech, can say whatever he wants on his platform as long as its not hurting anyone, which he wasn’t and hasn’t. But in a money grab type of desperation, the families of the victims quickly went to sue Alex and his fortune.
This gets us to our next point which is: are these families really concerned about their loved ones death or are they just trying to find a way to get paid? We get that times are tough, but using your deceased family’s tragedy as leverage for a payday shows how sick some people can be. If these families really cared about their loved ones who passed away because of the fateful event, they should have Alex Jones give to a non profit that prevents school shooting and other mental health programs. Think about it!
