New York City gets first drought warning in 22 years

Something that you’d probably hear in the West Coast, a drought warning was issued for New York City, which hasn’t had one since January of 2002. With lack of rain or snow, warmer November weather than usual, and brush fires popping out through the city, officials are urging New Yorkers to save water and conserve, like they do in the West Coast.

Mayor Eric Adams has asked everyone in the city to conserve water by doing things such has taking shorter showers, not washing your cars, and not watering plants. He’s hoping the reservoirs will eventually fill up but no word yet on how long this drought is expected to last. So far there isn’t any moisture in the air for it to rain or snow which is rare for this time of month.
